5 Questions to Ask Before Renting a Porta Potty
Are You a Local Provider?
Prior to ordering, you may want to ask your sanitation provider if they’re a local company. As you can imagine, local providers are more familiar with your area and can deliver restrooms more efficiently. Being a local provider, the company is also more familiar with municipality requirements, park district request, and local event needs.
Are Upgrades Available?
Who doesn’t love an upgrade? When ordering your restroom, you may want to consider asking if there are any upgrades or additional accommodations that can be made. For example, did you know some porta potties have flushable toilets, sinks, and lights? Some companies offer luxury restroom trailers with the comforts of your home bathroom These are just a few upgrades that your guests are sure to notice and enjoy.
Will My Rental Include Service?
Most portable restrooms accommodate up to 10 workers during a 40-hour work week or up to 100 guests for a normal 6-8 hour event. For anything greater, you’re going to need service. Services can vary greatly from one company to the next. Be sure to ask what’s included with your service. (i.e.: delivery, setup, pickup, and supplies).
Are You Available 24/7?
Let’s be honest, trying to reach someone on the phone these days is nearly impossible. What were to happen if an issue were to arise at your event and you were unable to reach the company? Because of this, we encourage you to find a provider who has a live answering service and is available 24-hours a day.
Event vs. Construction?
When ordering your restrooms, it’s important to ask your provider if they have a separate inventory designated for events and construction. As you can imagine, construction rentals are built for industrial type applications and tend to get a little more abuse. These may not be ideal for that special event you’re planning.
