As we continue to champion our team members with the knowledge and tools they need for success, we were thrilled to dispatch our Recruiting Manager, Tim Vessell, to this year’s Annual SHRM Conference. (Also known as the Society for Human Resource Management Conference.)

Picture this: Four days jam-packed with top-tier HR scholars, networking galore, rubbing elbows with HR gurus, analysts, and industry bigwigs from every corner of the professional universe.

While there, Tim discovered that HR is evolving at lightspeed, and the future is rapidly approaching. Staying ahead isn’t just about keeping pace—it’s about leading. Building a positive culture, realizing the full potential of AI, dealing with mental health challenges, and learning new ways to keep employees engaged, are just a few things that he discovered.

In addition to training seminars, there was also plenty of time for networking and enjoying some great entertainment as well with fellow HR professionals. A key topic discussed was learning how to be civil in the workplace, while working through disagreements. By learning to practice and implement civil behavior into the workplace, this creates a safe and empathetic environment where individuals feel valued and are encouraged to share their best ideas.
